With the aim of promoting regenerative farming practices, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology in its agri-food division, EIT Food, has trained more than 2,500 professional farmers through its courses, covering more than 20 different crops. If you are a farmer and/or livestock farmer, we invite you on 11 and 12 November 2025 to participate in a practical course developed in collaboration with EIT Food, focused on the regenerative management of small livestock amongst tree crops, where we will explore integration into perennial systems, animal health, business strategies, and hands-on farm planning.

Course Information
EIT Food Agricultural Program
This training program is part of a number of activities that EIT Food has created for farmers, agri-food businesses and consumers to scale regenerative practices in Europe. The aim is to spread knowledge and outcomes of our project to build a European regenerative farming community.
Course Facilitators
José Luis García de Castro holds a veterinarian degree from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, and has specialized first in equine clinical health and later in regenerative livestock management, holistic planned grazing, and pasture-based meat production.
Over the past decade, he has trained extensively with the Iberian Association of Regenerative Agriculture and Holistic Management International, and has developed his own business of pastured broilers and 100% grass-fed beef, becoming one of the leading producers and direct-sellers of these products in Spain, while deepening his expertise in sustainable livestock systems and adaptive grazing strategies.
José Luis will be leading this two-day practical course and sharing his knowledge and experience with participants throughout.
What's included
Coffee and a farm-to-fork lunch will be provided on site on both days. We aim to offer healthy and varied meals with ingredients mostly sourced fresh from the farm. Please let us know ahead of time if you have any dietary restrictions.
